girls preference

last night i went to girls preference. i asked mauri, so we went to the casual dance. the theme was harry potter, but we didn't wanna dress up as characters. so we decided to go in a dressy casual. so i went shopping for a nice blouse and some stuff at walmart with mauri and his roommate kyle. then we had to get ready, but i fell asleep. so i enlisted help from nell and meags. meags curled my hair and nell brought her shoes and was the driver. they helped me quickly get ready and then they took us to l&l where i treated (because it was girls preference). they took us to the wilk where we danced the night away! =P thanks nell and meags!

i'm not HOMELESS/STARVING!!!

it is official. i am not gonna be homeless or starving next fall/winter semesters! why? i'll be an RA for helaman halls!! yay!! i had my interview last week friday, and they i just got a letter last night telling me that i was offered the job. i was really nervous about the interview but i said a prayer and it was a lot easier to do the interview. anyways... i am blessed. =)

it's a good day

today was a great day! i was able to get all of the things that i needed to accomplished done, i was able to go to the bean museum with mauri and see him draw a really really cool picture of a rhino (i'll have to get a picture of it from him so i can post it on this thing), and we ate dinner with one of our friends, lehi. and it's been a great 5 months! =)

i was finally able to take a picture of the rhino. isn't it great? i'm not an artist or anything, but i think it's really cool. =P

FAMILY home evening

tonight i got to go to the escobedo FAMILY home evening. we went to mauri's aunty's house in orem where i got to eat food food (or at least something different from the cannon center). it was so great. mauri's parents drove up from panaca, so mauri's dad gave the lesson about the prodigal son and how there's the prodigal son, and the other son in all of us, and how we just need to remember to be humble and forgiving. it was a great lesson. =) i miss having those REAL family home evenings!

sunday = family time

remember how at home sunday was the day for family? today it was just like that again. tonight was a fireside where the living legends went and spoke and sang for the primary children, and everyone but brother went. it was really nice, and i enjoyed it a lot. after that, nell had made us pies...

don't they look delicious?? thanks nell! =) so we went to cami's house to eat them. we ended up staying there for an hour and a half taking pictures and laughing, talking, and eating. it was great! even cooler was that us sisters had the same wavelength once again... here's to prove it...
