i got a letter from kyle today. he's doing well, he's working hard, he's loving it all, and he's already been out for SEVEN months... crazy! in his letter, he gave me a good reminder, that i didn't realize i needed. haha. :) here's what it said (at least one part of it):
"It sounds like you're keeping yourself busy... VERY busy. That's good. But just remember that being too busy can prevent you from receiving impressions and revelations from the Lord. Cramming your mind with too many things of good importance can prevent you from receiving revelations from the Lord which are of greater importance. I know that you are trying to find balance in your everyday life. I promise you that as you turn to the Lord as your helper and take some time, no matter how short it might be, and stop and sit in a quiet place where you can just think and pray silently for the Lord's direction, you WILL find that balance that you're so diligently seeking for and you WILL receive the Lord's guidance in doing so."
this went along perfectly with what i had learned this past week in mission prep... how we must study the scriptures and pray, but how it is most important to find quiet time to ponder. i'm so grateful that heavenly father has blessed me with such great missionary friends! :)
