last day of break

it's a bitter sweet realization that today is the last day of thanksgiving break. bitter because this is what i woke up to this morning:
and because meags left today:
but very sweet because that means only 3 more weeks left of the fall semester, and because of what i learned in church today. :)

today cam and josue spoke about being better examples of righteousness and how we can do that. they spoke about living worthy of the spirit, and building their testimony, as well as reading the scriptures, and following the promptings of the spirit. these are ways that we can be better examples. but the next speakers talked about gratitude. they spoke about how studying the scriptures can help us feel gratitude, but how serving others and trying to be humble helps us cultivate even more gratitude. one of the suggestions was to make a gratitude journal! i'll be taking that challenge... even though it's past thanksgiving. it has been my goal to be more grateful since general conference, and this was like personal revelation on HOW i can be more grateful, show more gratitude, etc. i'm so excited about it! :)

hopefully the rest of my day will continue to be so that there are more sweet things, than bitter things. and then tomorrow is a new day. i'm grateful for that. look! haha... i'm already starting! yay! :)
