it was pretty crazy. luckily it didn't take too long to get through, only about 20 minutes. when we finally got in, we got seats 3 rows from the back. it was interesting... because it was my first basketball game, it was also my first time seeing the floor (not covered in the blue tarp). it was cool tho. also, the team was wearing PINK! so at first i thought they were first and second string of utah, but then i realized that it was the breast cancer awareness game. so anyway, it was pretty crazy, and the whole entire student section was PACKED. when the game was about to start, we said a prayer. then we sang the national anthem and everyone sang. it was kinda weird. right after the utah players were introduced, these sheets fell from the top... and they played a movie. it was cool... and everyone went WILD!
but then the byu players were introduced. the game was kinda boring in the beginning. it was like any other basketball game, and byu was up the entire time. but nell was telling me about the "airball" and stuff like that, so i wanted to see it. but towards the end of the game, the coach was going crazy ON THE COURT, so the crowd started screaming "get off the court". then one of the utah players knocked out one of the byu players and the crowd went CRAZY! the kid was escorted out and the crowd started singing "na na na na... hey hey hey... goodbye" and jungling their keys. it was INTENSE! but i'm glad i went! thanks nell and jennie! =)

ReplyDeleteooh! yes, they did wear PINK the whole time. that's of the line to enter that i was standing in. it went all the way down the spirals and almost to the asb!

ReplyDeletelol it really was. but i thought it usually happened, so i was just taking pictures of the things that were supposed to always happen but that was my first time. hey! do you wanna go to the rugby game? i have two friends on the team, and the next one they play at home is march 6th and it's against utah. just wondering if you'd like to come with. let me know.
